I was…
I was covered with confusion. My personal insecurities led to a lack of self confidence through out all of my high school years. I was unsure of everything I stood for, therefore I was unable to stand strong in my faith.
But Christ
But Christ gave me confidence. Yet, not the kind of confidence I was seeking. Rather than self assurance, I learned to place my assurance in the character of Christ.
And now…
And now fear has no place in my mind or heart. I live my days with shear excitement for new people I can meet and new things I can learn. God has helped me jump into the game without hesitation.
Life Verse
“Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence.”
1Corinthians10:12 MSG
Challenge to Other Athletes/Coaches
Stay consistent with your daily devotionals! God speaks to us when we take the time to seek his voice. It is crazy to see the difference in our attitudes when we have the mindset of Christ on a day-to-day basis.
